 Jon began his life on Dec. 29, 1953. He lived in the Watervliet and Coloma area his whole life. Jon worked with his brother, Steve Tacy, for many years operating Tacy Bros. Excavating. Jon also obtained his real estate license and worked at Tala Real Estate, following in the footsteps of his grandmother, Irene Tacy. His family has a long history in the area with Tacy’s Barbershop and Tacy’s Saddle Shop.

 Jon enjoyed spending time with his friends, particularly time spent on Paw Paw Lake. He also enjoyed gardening, telling jokes, and searching for good finds at garage sales. Jon was a handyman and enjoyed fixing and improving most anything.

 Jon will be dearly missed by his loved ones that he leaves behind including: his mother Muriel Dennis; brother Steve Tacy and sister-in-law Carol Tacy; three children Karla Tacy, Robin Bower, and Austin Tacy (Jordan Kiser-Tacy); grandchildren Riley Kasun-Kiser and Reese Tacy; previous partner Pam Bower.

 Jon is preceded in death by his father Bob Tacy and step-mother Jean Tacy.

 Jon passed away on Nov. 7, 2025, after a long battle with cancer. Jon’s life will be celebrated on Nov. 23, 2025, from 1-3 p.m. at Next Door Events in Watervliet.
