Laying the foundation for Michigan’s comeback

When House Republicans launched our Mission for Michigan, we made a promise to deliver policies that grow paychecks, support small businesses, and make our state competitive again. Just a few months in, I’m proud to continue reporting progress.

House Republicans understand that a strong economy isn’t built by bureaucrats in Lansing picking winners and losers. It’s built by hardworking Michiganders who get up every day to create, invest, build, and grow. That’s why we’re cutting red tape that drives up costs, stifles innovation, and discourages investment. Our Red Tape Reduction Initiative is taking direct aim at outdated, burdensome regulations that make it harder to build housing or start a business in Michigan.
