Coloma Public Library news
Meet Up, Eat Up, Read Up: The Coloma Public Library will serve as a free summer lunch location Monday-Friday from 11:30-11:50 a.m. starting June 13 through Aug. 5. Free lunches will be provided for 18 years old and younger and special needs individuals 26 years old and under. Lunches must be eaten on library premises. Hartford Public Library news
The Hartford Public Library has great new items available for circulation to their patrons. Through a grant from the Library of Michigan and the American Rescue Plan Act, the library has twenty laptop computers with hotspots to lend to members of the community. These computers come with Microsoft Office 2019 and PDF software for creating and editing documents.
Through the Electronic Connectivity Grant, the library has Amazon Fire HF tablets for children 3-7 years, loaded with educational games and videos, also Amazon Fire HD tablets for ages 7 - 12 with loaded games. For adults they have two Samsung tablets and two Apple tablets available for public use.
Additionally, the library has a supply of hotspots for home use to connect to the internet. To check out any of these items, patrons will need a Hartford Public Library card, a valid driver’s license, photo ID and proof of residency.
The library is starting Senior Bingo every Monday, beginning June 6 at 2 p.m. in the Vanderlyn meeting room. Bingo is free and prizes are provided.
Watervliet District Library news
Business owners are reminded to check out Watervliet District Library’s extensive collection of small business resources, both online and in print. The Don Young Collection, named after long-time Watervliet business man and community supporter, includes the Data Axle Reference Solutions database with broad demographic and consumer trends research capabilities, many MEL (Michigan Electronic Library) tools, and Profiles of Michigan, online. Small business digital books are also a part of the collection, accessed through Overdrive’s Libby app. A number of physical copies in the subject can be checked out from the library. Pinteresting, the library’s adult crafting program, will be held Monday, May 23 at 6:30 p.m., a week earlier than usually scheduled. Patrons can contact the library by phone (269-463-6382), email, and through Facebook messenger.
