Local Author Meet n’ Greet
Meet Coloma author Robert Lawson and learn about his debut novel “Trial and Error, Life of Depression” on Saturday, March 11, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the main area of the library.
St. Paddy’s Book Sale
The public is invited to the library’s big book sale on Saturday, March 11 to coincide with all the fun activities happening throughout Coloma. The sale will be held in the book store from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Free Computer Class for Adults
Learn the basics of managing documents and files with instructor Charlie Olszewski. Registration is required due to limited number of seats available. Call 269-468-3431. Class is Thursday, March 23 from 5 to 7 p.m.
Stuffed Animal Sleepover
Kids can bring a “stuffie” to spend the night at the library! Pictures will be taken of the mischief they got up to in the night. Drop off on Friday, March 17, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. and pick up on Saturday, March 18, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Toddler/PreK Story Times
Interactive story times for toddlers and pre-K age children with Miss Sara on Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m.
Book Club
The public is invited to join the Book Club every other Thursday in the Community Room. Next meeting is March 16 at 4 p.m. The selected title is Thank You for Listening by Julia Whelan.
Paws for Reading
School-age children are invited for 15-minute individual literacy sessions with certified therapy dogs, Margaret and Pailey. Next session is Wednesday, March 8 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Pre-registration is preferred, but walk-ins are accommodated when possible.
Homeschool Club
Meet caregivers and new friends in the library’s monthly networking group for homeschooling families. Next meeting is Thursday, March 16 at 12 p.m.

Hartford Public
Library news
The next “Gentle Yoga” class will be Thursday, March 2 at the Hartford Public Library from 5 to 6 p.m. The class is free to all adults. Participants need to bring a yoga mat, beach towel and hand towel plus two yoga blocks to the session.
Friday, March 3 will be Lego Build and Craft Time from 1 to 3 p.m. All children can create a Lego structure and enjoy making a craft to take home. No registration is required and all supplies are included free.
March is “Reading Challenge Month” at the Hartford Public Library. Adults and children are invited to participate in the reading challenge. For every five books read or read to, patrons may enter for a chance to win a gift card. There is no limit on the number of entries. Information and forms are available at the library.
VBISD Great Start, Family Links Playtime is every second and fourth Wednesday at the library at 11 a.m. This program is for children infants to 5 years and is focused on literacy and effective play for children. No registration is required and all materials are provided free.
On Wednesday, March 8 Lego Build and Family Craft Time is from 2 to 4 p.m. Participants can build a Lego creation and make a craft to take home. No registration is required and all supplies are provided free.
