Hartford Public Library news

 The Van Buren Regional Genealogy Society is sponsoring the first session of the 2024 season on Saturday, March 16 at 11 a.m. in the meeting room of the Hartford Public Library. There will be a showing of the “House of David” DVD. The library will also display the House of David historical collection for viewing.

 Yoga class is cancelled for Thursday, March 21 as the leader will not be available. Cardio Drumming is scheduled for March 13, 18 and 20 from 6 to 7 p.m.

 The Book Club selection for March is “The Invention of Wings” by Sue Monk Kidd. Anybody interested in a SciFi/ Fantasy group, let staff at the library know either via Facebook or email hartfordlib@yahoo.com.

Coloma Public Library news

St. Paddy’s Book Sale

 The Coloma Public Library is holding their big book sale this Saturday, March 16 to coincide with all the fun activities happening throughout Coloma. The book sale will be held in the book store from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Book Club

 The public is invited to join the Book Club every other Thursday in the Community Room at 4 p.m. The selection for the meeting on March 21 is “Of Time and Turtles” by Sy Montgomery. Alternate title is “Awakening Wonder in an Anxious Age” by Katherine May.

“New Romantics” Book Club

 Adults who love reading romance will want to join the new Romantics Book Club! Next session is Tuesday, April 9 at 5:30 p.m. The title to read is “Divine Rivals” by Rebecca Ross.

Paws for Reading

 Weekly Paws for Reading sessions with trained therapy dogs, Pailey and Margaret are Wednesdays at 4:30 p.m. in the Children’s Room. Next session is March 20.

Toddler Story Times

 Weekly Toddler Story Times are Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. for fun interactive story times and activities. Next session is March 19.
