A word of the hour is “endurance”. We may remember the ship by that name, captained by Sir Ernest Shackleton, which embarked on a dangerous Antarctic expedition. The name of the ship came to symbolize the endurance of that crew as they pushed forward even in overwhelmingly difficult circumstances. None of the crew was lost. But the ship sank in the Weddell Sea, never to be found again.
