Several local churches will come together for a Community Prayer for Schools event on Sunday, Aug. 23 at 2 p.m.

Participants will first gather at Watervliet High School for a brief 15- to 20-minute time of worship and prayer. From there, attendees will disperse to other local schools to continue praying for students, teachers, staff and the upcoming school year.
