For the 36th year the Tri-City Record is sponsoring its “Best Mom” contest for Mother’s Day, this year falling on May 8, 2022.
For the “Best Mom” winner, one special woman will receive a dozen red roses as “Best Mom 2022”, donated by The Flower Basket in Downtown Watervliet. That mother… or grandmother… or wife… or someone special is chosen by the staff of Tri-City Record, based on the contents of a 200-word or less letter submitted on her behalf. In that letter, tell why she deserves the title “Best Mom,” (give specifics) and include your name, address and phone number (don’t forget Mom’s info as well). Neither the nominee nor the writer has to be a subscriber of the Record.
Deadline is Friday, May 6, at 12:00 noon. The winning letter writer will be notified that day and the Best Mom will receive her roses on Mother’s Day (Sunday, May 8). Her picture and the winning letter will appear in the next week’s issue of the Tri-City Record on Thursday, May 12.
Letters can be emailed to record@tricityrecord.com. They can also be put in the drop box beside our door at 138 N. Main Street, Watervliet or mailed to Tri-City Record, P.O. Box 7, Watervliet, MI 49098.
All submitted letters will appear in the Tri-City Record as space allows, up to and after Mother’s Day.
