March is “Reading Month” at the Hartford Public Library

Hartford Public Library is offering a Spring Reading Challenge for independent readers and read-to-me children from ages one year to 5th grade. Each child needs to read 10 books of which five must be Hartford Public Library books in order to qualify for a prize. Entry forms are available at the library. The Challenge starts on March 1 and ends on March 31.


The library is also offering a Teen Reading Challenge from March 1 to March 31. Each teen needs to read 10 books of which five are Hartford Public Library books. Entry forms are available at the library. The teen prizes are a choice of Amazon, Dollar General, iTunes, Google Play or Shell Gas gift card.


They haven’t forgotten the adults. For each book read, an adult may enter their name at the library circulation desk for a drawing for a gift card.
