Michigan’s COVID case numbers improve minimally MDHHS says 3 million now fully vaccinated
The state of Michigan still remains a hot spot with only a slight decrease in new COVID cases again over the last week. The percentage of new COVID cases has waffled as high as 14% and as low as just under 11%, still a long way from the 3% goal. Immunization clinics around the state are widely available for ages 16 and up. Governor Gretchen Whitmer continues to say Michiganders need to “Get the Shot” to reach the immunization numbers needed to turn the tide. The latest reports from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) show some 3 million Michigan residents are fully vaccinated, representing roughly 36% of all Michiganders.
