My News and Views from the Michigan State House

As my term in the Legislature ends, I want to review some of my achievements in these past years. In 2017, I joined a bipartisan group of my House colleagues in supporting a package of bills to increase transparency and accountability in the Legislature and Governor’s office. This package of bills subjected the Governor’s office to the Freedom of Information Act and created a similar transparency requirement for the Legislature – areas in which Michigan has fallen behind other states.
