NANCY ANDERSON

Nancy Kent Anderson, 91, originally of Williamsburg, Virginia, passed away with grace and beauty on April 3, 2026, in Orlando, Florida, surrounded by her children and family.

Nancy, a Daughter of the American Revolution, and part of the First Families of Virginia, married a Yankee, Arthur F. Anderson, and moved to the Midwest: Oak Park, IL, Livonia, MI, and then to Watervliet where she raised her five children; Scott, Jeff (Lori), Kevin (Natasha), Michael and Eric.

Nancy went back to college in her forties, and found her natural calling, working as a registered nurse for nearly thirty years. Nancy’s children, fourteen grandchildren, and great-grandchild were her pride and joy. Often referred to as Mrs. A by the Watervliet High School kids, she could be found cheering on her progeny and their friends in whatever activities they were involved in, all the way until the end of her life on earth.

Nancy was predeceased by her father, Yelverton Oliver Kent, her mother, Elizabeth Cleveland Kent, her younger sister, Elizabeth (“Betsy”) Kent, and her little brother, Robin Kent; and Nancy’s children will take her back home to Williamsburg to be laid to rest with them.
