NBHM to host free kids program: Keepers of the Fire, August 25

The North Berrien Historical Museum is hosting two sessions of the Summer Time Traveler: Keepers of the Fire, Tuesday, August 25 at 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. This program will be presented by The Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians.

Participants will learn about the Pokagon Band’s storytelling, language, and culture from tribal specialists. They will then have the opportunity to make traditional handcrafted corn husk dolls. This program is designed for children ages 6–12, but all ages are invited.

RSVP is required for this free event. Please call the museum at (269) 468-3330 to reserve your spot. The North Berrien Historical Museum is located at 300 Coloma Avenue, across Red Arrow Highway from Coloma High School.
