Niles Scream Park serves horror, support to community

When the Tri‑City Record received an invitation to Media Day at Niles Scream Park a few weeks ago, Dylan Raucci, Josh, and I jumped at the opportunity to be swept into the spirit of spookiness by witnessing a preview of what the Park had prepared for its 53rd season. The gates officially opened

Friday, Sept. 11, and each weekend since has provided the thrilling and chilling experience that visitors crave. Our pre-opening visit gave us an even closer look at just how much craftsmanship and care go into every inch of the 44‑acre Scream Park.

Our delightful tour guide was Wendy, one of roughly 200 volunteers per night who make the park possible. Typically working at the health station during the season, she hoped not to see us on a regular visit. As a non-profit, many volunteers like Wendy donate their time in support of local programs and organizations.
