North Berrien Historical Museum to host program on Pokagon Band trade practices, September 15
On Tuesday, Sept. 15, at 7:00 p.m., historic research specialist Cecil Wilson from the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi will appear at the North Berrien Historical Museum in Coloma to present “Pokagon Band Trade Practices.” The program will discuss Potawatomi trade practices during pre-colonial and early colonial periods.
The Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians remains in the area today, preserving cultural traditions and autonomy as a federally recognized Native American nation.
