ARTHUR “DAN” MCFARLAND III

Arthur Daniel McFarland III (Dan), 66, went to be with our Heavenly Father Sunday, Jan. 11, 2026, at Bronson Hospital after a short illness.

Dan was a very much loved husband, father and grandfather. He was a lifelong farmer and all around handyman. Dan was born Jan. 6, 1960, in Benton Harbor, MI, the son of Art and Maxine (Anderson) McFarland. He graduated from Hartford High School in 1978. He worked his entire life on the family’s fruit farm in Hartford. He was also a handyman. He loved to help others with home repairs, remodeling and plumbing.

Dan married his loving wife Vicki (Gravenmer) in 1979, where she became a part of the family farm and worked beside him through his lifetime. During that time they were blessed with two sons, Daniel and Adam. He was also a lifelong member at Hartford Bible Church.

Dan always loved being outside; besides farming, he also loved going fishing and deer hunting every fall.

Dan is survived by his wife Vicki, sons Arthur D. McFarland (Daniel) and Adam M. McFarland, and his wife Valerie and their three sons Kameron, Rowan and Mason; sisters Linda Bippus (McFarland) and Joanne McFarland O’Rourke and brother, Michael (Johna) McFarland.

Dan was preceded in passing by his parents and sister, Chris Price.

Services will be held at Hartford Bible Church on Friday, Jan. 16. Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., with service to follow.

In lieu of flowers please leave a donation in Dan’s name to the American Red Cross online at redcross.org or by giving a blood donation.
