Overcoming loneliness

Long ago I discovered that loneliness can be one of the most difficult emotions to overcome. Connection with other people is very important for most, and when we don’t get enough personal interaction or we’ve lost that connection with others, we can feel like we are shriveling up on the inside. We feel empty, alone, isolated, forgotten. The world ceases to be a bright place. Instead, hope gets swallowed alive in the sense of personal sadness.
