Pokagon Band of Potawatomi celebrates 30th anniversary of sovereignty

 On September 21, 2024, the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi proudly celebrated the 30th anniversary of the reaffirmation of its sovereignty. After decades of fighting to restore their federal recognition, the Band was reaffirmed by an act of Congress, signed into law by President Bill Clinton on Sept. 21, 1994.
