Reminscing with Pearl Playford

I was more than pleased this past week to receive a very fine letter from Mrs. P.J. Blatchford of Chicago, who wrote: “I have read with more than the usual amount of interest your column in the March 7th Watervliet Record. I am interested because of your suggestion for beautifying the city.” She referred to the story about “Putting the bloom in Watervliet.” And it is gratifying to know that people even in other communities are interested in the project and even offer to help in any way they can.
