Last week the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, holding that the U.S. Constitution does not offer a federal right to an abortion and in doing so leaves the choice to criminalize or legalize abortion up to the states. The ruling in Dobbs made last week overturns Roe, which has been in place for nearly fifty years and has contributed to the deaths of around 60 million unborn children in the United States.
