100 years ago – 1924

Robbers carted away the 800-pound safe from the Pere Marquette depot. Deputy Sheriff Lowell S. Guy is being assisted by B. D. Hogmire of the Hotel Coloma in the search.

Miss Ada Lukens joins the organization of Republican women of Berrien County. Monthly meetings will be held for the purpose of carrying on their work for the “Grand Old Party.”

The new Tudor Ford sedan, owned by Aaron Kramer was stolen while it was parked near the Woodward baseball park. No clues have been found.
