As Michiganders, we understand that a healthy Great Lakes ecosystem means a healthy Great Lakes economy. These incredible resources provide drinking water, jobs, recreation opportunities, and countless memories to millions of people across our state and nation.
As your Representative in Congress, I am honored to serve as the Republican Co-Chair of the bipartisan House Great Lakes Task Force. As Co-Chair, I am leading the charge to educate members of Congress, protect the ecology, and strengthen the economy of our region by ensuring vital programs, such as the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative (GLRI), are fully utilized to help clean up legacy pollution, enhance the ecosystem of the Great Lakes, and stop invasive species.
