Last week, the House passed legislation to empower parents to play a greater role in their children’s education known as the Parents Bill of Rights Act. This legislation, which I helped introduce, is a key element of the House Republican’s Commitment to America proposal that we released ahead of last year’s election. The Parents Bill of Rights Act defines legal protections for parents and guidelines for schools to follow in an effort to encourage positive dialogue and strengthen the education children receive in schools across America.
