Second anniversary

Dear Readers,

I have been at this for two years now... sitting out here on the bank of the Paw Paw River, watching water drift by, and thinking about local matters. Last year at this time I took a few minutes to go back in my mind and try to recall the comments people had made about my literary efforts. Perhaps I should try it again this year. There have been many comments over the last months... so I will dredge through my memories and see if I can remember what people said.

Way back last Christmas season, we got a nice note from Myldryd Cronin. She and I taught together way back when. She admits to being a frustrated writer herself and has been enjoying my column. Same with George and Lorna Vint up in Bangor... they enjoy my memories from the past. Our daughter Deb also said then she liked my article on Emily Dickinson.
