PASTOR... David Helms, Tri-City Record columnist of “Spiritual Compass Points” passed away last week. Dave ran his inaugural column in 2006 in the form of a Letter to the Editor. “Keep Your Eyes Toward the Son, and the Shadows Fall Behind” was the first of four letters submitted to the Record. On Feb. 2, 2006 Spiritual Compass Points started and has ran on the Editorial page for 19 years. In lieu of the Lenten season and the passing of Dave we are sharing his first Lenten column from 2006.
