HARTFORD
Hartford American Legion Post 533 will host the Memorial Day service Monday, May 27, 2024. The parade will start at 10 a.m. with line-up at the Middle School parking lot and proceed from Edwin Street and East Main, west to Ely Park. All military service veterans are invited to participate in the parade and the following service. Golf carts are available to provide assistance to any veteran that would like to participate but are not able walk the route. Veterans will be recognized at the ceremony. KEELER TOWNSHIP
This year, Keeler Township Fire Department has taken the lead on the Memorial Day Ceremony and Parade organization for Keeler Township. Hartford High School Band will play at the ceremony. Lawrence American Legion along with clergy will be performing the service, held at the Keeler Township Cemetery on Monday, May 27 2024. The Memorial Day Parade will start at noon from the intersection and proceed to the cemetery for the official ceremony.
WATERVLIET
The Watervliet Fire Department will conduct a Memorial Day service at the Watervliet Cemetery on Red Arrow Highway, Monday, May 27 at 11 a.m., led by Chief Bill Whitney with the help of Annette Christie. High School senior, Ella Harris will lead the singing of the National Anthem. Also present will be Miss Watervliet 2024 Nicole Bender and her court. Guest speaker this year is 2021 Watervliet Graduate Riley McKinney.
All past veterans are invited to attend along with all community members. There will be no parade.
