Tri-City area schools say no to mask mandates; Transmission levels up statewide
All three Tri-City Area school districts are taking their cues from their county health departments and continuing the course of guidance from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services as to strongly recommend, but yet not mandate indoor mask use. The Centers for Disease Control is also recommending that all students and school staff wear face masks. However, no sweeping mask mandates have been made at the federal or state level for K-12 students or college students. Following the MDHHS lead, local area health departments are strongly recommending face masks for all students, teachers and staff at this time.
