True speech

Free speech is a bulwark of a free society, most people would agree. Without freedom of expression, people become stifled, and thinking itself gets discouraged. Information becomes artificially filtered, and because dissent is crushed, so is objective reality. When free speech goes, so does everything else as well. Because there is free speech doesn’t mean there is true speech, or relevant speech. There’s just more speech to choose from – and more speech to contribute.
