U.S. 31: A story of persistence

We all know U.S. 31, and I am certain that many of us remember the horrific conditions of the highway that made it the most dangerous roadway in the state. Even before I was first elected to office, I knew U.S. 31 needed major renovations, and I made sure to see it through. Decades ago, when I was a staffer for Rep. David Stockman (and had much darker hair), I was at the ribbon cutting of the first renovation to the highway.
