Youth of the Watervliet and Coloma school districts are uniting and fighting with Carly, a Watervliet South Elementary student and rocket cheerleader. On Saturday, Sept. 21, 2024 is a day of Watervliet versus Coloma “Pink Out” youth football games in Panther Stadium. Flag begins at 3:30 p.m., juniors play at 5:30 p.m., with seniors in a game at 7:00 p.m.

Carly was diagnosed about a year ago, at 6 years old, with a cancer called Rhabdomyosarcoma, stage 3. She has had surgeries, radiation, and chemotherapy. She is now on maintenance cycles and receives infusions every week. Carly has a positive prognosis but has a long road ahead.

Organizers request that game attendees wear a “United We Fight” shirt if purchased, or wear pink in a show of support.

At the game there will be three ways to contribute to Carly’s family in addition to a 50/50 raffle. Those ways are: all proceeds from Honor Credit Union items sold, all profits from concession and food trucks, and all proceeds from bucket donations.
