Upton attends White House signing of Marriage Protections and Religious Liberties Bill

(Press release) U.S. Rep. Fred Upton was part of a bipartisan group of congressional leaders present on Dec. 13, 2022 at the White House for the signing of H.R. 8404, the Respect for Marriage Act, into law. The bill requires the federal government to recognize legal marriages between two individuals “regardless of the couple’s sex, race, ethnicity, or national origin.”
