Van Buren detectives trained in child abduction investigation

 According to the Sheriff Notes of Aug. 22, 2025, from the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office, their Detectives attended a two-day training held by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the United States Department of Justice. The course provided advanced instruction in rapid response protocols, investigative techniques, and interagency coordination designed to enhance the effectiveness of a child abduction investigation.
