Watervliet High School Band has busy winter performance schedule

Southwestern Michigan College’s fourth annual Band Clinic Day on Feb. 9 featured six area school bands and more than 300 musicians. The clinic offered a performance opportunity and critique on their Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association (MSBOA) festival program. Clinician Dr. Scott Boerma of Western Michigan University evaluated Cassopolis Senior High Concert Band, Watervliet High School Band, Lakeshore High School Symphonic Band, Buchanan High School Symphonic Band, Schoolcraft High School Concert Band and Covert High School Band. The students also were treated to an SMC concert, lunch, and a campus tour.
