Have you ever noticed how the sky looks different in different parts of the country? When in Minnesota for example, skies seem especially close to the ground - the clouds hugging the contours of the ground as they hurry along, carried by the wind. The skies can help with weather prediction too. We’ve heard of “snow sky” when the sun is barely visible though a thick cloudy haze. Then there is a green-colored “tornado sky” sometimes being predictive of possible tornado activity in the area. A “high sky” doesn’t usually produce any precipitation. And it goes on.
