You can show mercy

Love is about self-sacrifice. That is putting someone else’s benefit above our own. Love seeks the good of the other person above our own good. It might require inconvenience, or pain, financial cost, or some effort on behalf of another person. Often it is in the giving of love rather than in the receiving of love that we find our greatest joy and fulfillment in life. It’s like we were made for this.
