LIAM RICHARD WARNER On May 1, 2018 a perfect baby boy, Liam Richard Warner, was born to Quentin Warner and Allison Beck in St. Joseph, Michigan. During his short life here on Earth Liam touched many lives and was loved deeply by family and friends.

Liam has a large loving family to cherish his memory including his parents Quentin Warner and Allison Beck; grandparents John Warner, Jamie Galvan, Tanya Beach, and Andrew Beck; great-grandparents Rick and Barb Warner, Richard and Michelle Jarvis, Connie and Jim Jewell; great-great-grandfather Charles Jarvis; four aunts and uncles Joshua Beck, Amanda Beck, Dominic Warner, and Mia Galvan. Liam died Monday, May 7, at DeVos Children’s Hospital in the loving arms of his parents. He is preceded in death by great-grandparents Patricia Polus and Donald Saffell and great-great-grandparents Paul and Helen Letke. Liam’s family will celebrate his life Friday, May 11, at 1:00 p.m. with visitation prior starting at 12:00 noon at Hutchins Funeral Home in Watervliet. WILLIAM “BILL” MACK Bill’s life began July 24, 1925 in Maywood, Illinois. He grew up in Watervliet where he attended school in Watervliet and raised a loving family. Bill proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II and was involved in the D-Day Allied Invasion of Normandy. After serving his country Bill returned to Watervliet and ran Mack Cement Work, taking over the business from his father.

After a short time Bill met Bettie Wilson, they married March 24, 1947 and raised their two daughters together. Bill was a loving husband and father. Outside of his family his great love was Paw Paw Lake, you could find him swimming across it as a young man, feeding the ducks, or driving around it to collect treasures. Bill also loved to travel, with his favorite place being Mackinac Island, the childhood home of his wife Bettie. Bill leaves behind a loving family to cherish his memory which includes: a daughter Nancy (Henry) Zausner of Kalamazoo, four grandchildren Bill (Melissa) Cartwright, Joseph (Jennifer) Rudell, Lynn (Scott) Summers, and Jack (Keilah) Zausner, 13 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, a son-in-law Greg Rudell, and many nieces and nephews. Bill died Saturday, May 5, at Pine Ridge Nursing Home in Stevensville. He is preceded in death by three wives Betty (Wilson) Mack, Hazel (Greenleaf) Mack, and Bonnie (Haynes) Mack, a daughter Jennifer Rudell, a sister Dorothy Frazier, and a brother Bud Mack. Bill will travel one last time to Mackinac Island to be laid to rest next to his wife Bettie in St. Ann’s Cemetery with a private family service. RICHARD A. MORLOCK Richard August Morlock, age 84, passed away in Willis, TX on April 15, 2018.

He was born in Watervliet, Michigan on March 29, 1934. He is preceded in death by his father, Ward Morlock and mother, Dorothy Fern Piersall Morlock, and infant son, Steven Morlock. He is also preceded in death by his brothers, Donald Morlock and Robert Morlock and sister, Norma Grace Morlock Hutchins. He is survived by his daughters, Denise Morlock McClung and significant other, Larry, Michele Morlock Forbes and husband, Scott, Tracey Morlock Brodeur and husband, Mark and Lisa Morlock Stokes and husband, Jerry. Richard is also survived by eight grandchildren and one great-grandson. Richard especially loved his hometown of Watervliet, Michigan and all his nieces and nephews. Richard was known for his athleticism at Watervliet High School where he was awarded the 1953 Herald-Palladium Athlete of the Year and was called a “great competitor.” He earned 10 of 12 sports letters offered by Watervliet High School and played football, basketball and baseball. In the spring of 2018 he was inducted into the Watervliet High School Athletics Hall of Fame. Richard was married to Marlene Franzel Morlock Davis for 21 years and continued to stay in touch. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 5 at Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe, TX at 12:30 p.m. A memorial service will also be held in Watervliet, Michigan at Hutchins Funeral Home on Saturday, May 19 at 11:00 a.m. with graveside services to follow.

ELIZABETH ANN (PETERS) LULL Elizabeth Ann (Peters) Lull went to heaven on May 8, 2018, to sing alto in the angel choir. She lived a long and productive life lasting 94 years. She was born on September 1, 1923, in the family home near Twelve Corners. Betty was always a “forward moving” woman who worked outside the home, retiring from I&M Electric after 32 years. She was very active in 4-H Leadership, Women of Survival for Agriculture in Michigan, and the American Legion Auxiliary. She also served as the assistant treasurer for Bainbridge Township for a period of time.

Betty helped others by being on the church prayer chain and was a woman of strong faith. She proudly sang in the St. Paul’s UCC choir for over 55 years with her two daughters by her side for over 25 of them. Betty wanted to be remembered for her kindness, which she spread everywhere over the decades. She liked to drive the PT Cruiser and began her driving endeavors at the age of 14 by driving to Mexico without an adult. She was proud of being a Benton Harbor graduate at the age of 16 where she had been a cheerleader, member of the choirs, played clarinet in the band, and was a member of the drama club. Betty attended Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri where she was given reinforcement on the importance of gaining knowledge maintaining a commitment to living a life of generosity, and speaking out for herself and others. She never lost her independence and maintained a positive attitude even in adversity. Betty enjoyed singing and playing music, dancing with her husband Jim at Crystal Palace, swimming in the lake, and most of all spending precious time with her family and friends. She celebrated 75 years of marriage to her husband Jim last summer. The two of them had many adventures together, traveling and attending all the sporting and music events for their girls, grandsons, and great-grandchildren, and participating in many reunions for her husband’s WWII Navy shipmates from the USS Saratoga CV3. Betty is survived by daughters Mary Cooper and Jamie Walter, grandchildren Jason (Jeanne) Conkin, Daniel (Angelene) Conkin, and David Walter, as well as great-grandchildren Elizabeth (Nick) Israel, Lucas Walter, Ben Conkin, Jay Conkin, and Clare Conkin, a brother Donald (Rheta) Peters, and a half-brother Lloyd (Janie) Reese. Her loving husband Jim Lull preceded her in death earlier this year. Visitation will be held Saturday, May 12, from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. with funeral services celebrated at 11:30 a.m. at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Watervliet, Michigan. Burial will take place privately at Crystal Springs Cemetery in Benton Harbor. Memorials may be made in Betty’s memory to St. Paul’s United Church of Christ or Hospice at Home.
