RAYMOND THOMAS STEINHAUS Raymond Thomas Steinhaus, 71, of Watervliet passed away peacefully on Friday, May 10, 2019 at Spectrum Health Lakeland in St. Joseph. He was born October 28, 1947 to Clarence and Rita (Clark) Steinhaus in Watervliet. After graduating from Coloma High School in 1966, Ray worked at the Watervliet Paper Company until it closed. He married the love of his life, Linda Jean (Waits) Steinhaus, on May 23, 1970. Ray started Ray’s Towing in 1995 and grew it into Rays Towing and Auto Repair as it is known today. After Ray retired, his son, Jeffrey Thomas Steinhaus, continues to run Rays legacy as owner and operator. EVELYN MARIE MILLER Evelyn Marie Miller, 81 of Hartford, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, May 10, 2019 at Ascension Borgess Hospital, Kalamazoo. Evelyn was born November 21, 1937 in Dowagiac, the daughter of Joseph and Alvina (Alexis) Morsaw, both of whom precede her in passing. She is also preceded in passing by her husband, Glynn Miller Sr. on October 19, 1993 and three siblings: Cardinal Joseph Morsaw, Betty Castanon and Josephine Griffith.

PATRICIA KLISS Patricia’s life began March 18, 1937 in Detroit. She lived most of her life in the Detroit area and was a nurse at Holy Cross in Detroit for more than 35 years. Upon retiring in 2002 Patricia and her husband LeRoy moved to Watervliet. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, playing bingo, was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Watervliet and a member of their Altar and Rosary Society. Patricia’s greatest joy came from spending time with her loving family which includes two sons, Lawrence Kliss and David (Claire) Kliss both of Watervliet; a sister Nancy (Al) Sleyter of Canton, Michigan, a niece Donna Abercrombie, and two nephews Mike (Angela) Sleyter and Mark Sleyter. Patricia died Thursday, May 9, at Caretel Inns of Lakeland in St. Joseph. Her husband LeRoy Kliss and parents Harry and Helen (Sponski) Bahorski precede Patricia in death. Patricia has been cremated and Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, May 18, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Watervliet.
