CLINTON W. EVETT
Clinton W. Evett, 50, of Coloma, passed away in the presence of his family on Monday, May 16, 2017 at Lakeland Medical Center in St. Joseph as a result of liver and kidney failure.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 19 at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma with visitation immediately prior beginning at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Coloma Cemetery. Clint was born November 25, 1966 in Watervliet, Michigan; the son of Glynn and Thelma Evett. He graduated from Coloma High School and then worked through the local carpenters union doing both commercial and residential construction. He was an excellent carpenter. Clint was a loving father who enjoyed hunting, fishing and long walks with Emily and her animals.
Clint is survived by his daughter Emily Evett of South Haven; his parents Glynn and Thelma Evett of Benton Harbor; his sisters Tammy Evett Fries of Hartford and Glynna (Ben) Parker of Benton Harbor; his special friend Jennifer Ling; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Elmer and Johnnie Mae Sanders, and Clinton and Tennie Evett.
BETTY JUNE HENAGAN
Betty was born July 30, 1952 in Benton Harbor the daughter of Ivan and Laura (Campbell) Orr. Betty passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at her home. She was preceded in death by her father; Ivan, a son; Derrick Ray Henagan, a grandson; Cane Raylynn Henagan, and a brother; Larry Orr.
Betty enjoyed her time at the beach, tending to her flowers, watching the hummingbirds and especially loved spending time with all of her family and friends. Loved ones will always remember her as being kind and quick to help someone in need as well as her love of collecting Betty Boop memorabilia.
As to Betty’s wishes cremation has taken place. The family will welcome friends from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at the Hope Lutheran Church in Hartford. A memorial celebrating Betty’s life will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Frederick S. Adrian officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Betty’s name may be made to the church. JOAN M. WOOD
Joan M. Wood, 69, of Oscoda, Michigan, passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2017. She was born April 18, 1948 in Allegan Michigan to the late Kenneth and Vivian (Decker) Wood.
She was a 1966 graduate of Coloma High School and served her country in the U.S. Army in both Okinawa and Arizona as a clerk typist. She worked at Michigan Bell and AT&T in Benton Harbor and Kalamazoo; then retired to Oscoda. She enjoyed buying gifts for others, reading, and watching movies. She was everyone’s favorite aunt, whether they were related or not.
Surviving are her siblings, Richard (Cathy) Wood, Janet Rorick, Karen Sink, Kathy (Garold) Thibeault, and Vicki (Norman) Marx; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by Diana Bogart, Donald Wood, and Bruce Wood.
