DARCY BEEZLEY Darcy Beezley, 61 years, of Paw Paw, MI, passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, June 28, 2019. She was born on May 21, 1958, in Benton Harbor, MI, the daughter of Ernest Nybro and Ramona (Smith) Nybro. Darcy graduated from Watervliet High School in 1976. She worked for Safari for many years and later at Knouse Foods until her retirement. She and her husband were members of Covey Hill Baptist Church since 2003. She was devoted to God and her family. Darcy loved to water ski and play card games with the family. She enjoyed camping and just walking out in nature with her husband. Darcy also enjoyed rummage sales. She always put her family first, spending time with her kids and grandkids brought her so much joy.

Surviving are her mother, Ramona Nybro; husband, Thomas A. Beezley III; children: John (Heidi) Ostruszka, James Ostruszka, Karen (Lorne) Gaum; seven grandchildren; siblings: Barbara Bahm, Richard Nybro, Dennis (Rosetta) Nybro, Donna (Robert) Mundt, and a host of nephews, nieces, friends, and other loving family members. Darcy was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Nybro. A celebration of Darcy’s life will take place on Friday, July 5, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Covey Hill Baptist Church, 33566 28th Ave (corner of 28th & M40) Paw Paw, with Pastor Dan Wilson officiating. VERNON LEROY CURRY Vernon Leroy Curry, 80, of Watervliet passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 26, 2019, at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville. Vern was born in Grand Rapids, Mich., on Feb. 25, 1939, to Martin Avlales and Helen Maxine Curry. Vern served his country in the U.S. Navy. Vernon, “Bud” to his friends, had a fondness for animals, hunting, fishing, trap shooting, and friends and family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Funeral services will be private. A Celebration of Life service with military rites will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 6, at the American Legion Post 362, in Coloma, with a luncheon to follow. Survivors include his children, Richard Curry of Coloma and Douglas (Penny) Curry of Battle Creek, Mich.; grandchildren, Kathryn (Tanner) Garcia of Burleson, Texas and Amanda Curry of Kalamazoo; and great-grandchildren, Logan Curry, Hunter Garcia, Lia Burton, Lyla Burton, Ian Burton and Ayla Pitts.

KAREN FAULKNER Karen Faulkner, 79, of Berrien Springs, MI passed away Sunday, June 30, 2019 at her home. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held Sunday, July 7 from 1 – 3 p.m. at the Kicker’s Club, 2601 Hetler Dr., Berrien Springs. Karen was born January 27, 1940 in Benton Harbor, MI to Albert & Louise (Weber) Lenardson. She graduated from Coloma High School. On June 7, 1980 she married Thomas Faulkner in Berrien Springs. Karen was a loving wife and mother who kept a busy schedule caring for her family. In her spare time, she enjoyed antiquing, gardening and traveling the world with her husband Tom. Karen is survived by her children Keith Hauch and Chad Hauch; stepchildren Deborah (Jim) Wolf, Edward (Laura) Faulkner and James (Yuri) Faulkner; 12 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and siblings Harry (Joanne) Lenardson and Ronnie (Joan) Lenardson. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son Craig Hauch.
