GRANT CHARLES GRIFFIN
Grant Charles Griffin went home to be with his Lord and Savior on June 9, 2017. He was a beloved father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He enjoyed life, loved to laugh, and make people feel great about themselves. He was an entrepreneur, an innovator, an outdoorsman, and a thinker. After a successful marketing career, Grant founded his own marketing research company. His company was successful to the point that Grant was able to retire before turning fifty. He spent his retirement years pursuing his passion of aviation and golf.
Grant leaves behind his two adult children Jonathan Griffin and Ashley Griffin, his parents Bill and Joyce Griffin, a brother Michael Griffin, and a niece and nephew Sophia Griffin and Riley Griffin.
A service to celebrate Grant’s life will be held on Saturday, July 15 at 2 o’clock at Hutchins Funeral Home in Watervliet, MI. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 585 (5691 Johnson Road, Coloma MI 49038 a 501(3)c non-profit corporation) in honor of Grant C. Griffin.
LUCILLE M. EVERETT
Lucille M. Everett, 96, formerly of Benton Township, died early Friday morning, June 30, 2017, at the Pine Ridge Rehab and Nursing Center in Lincoln Township.

Lucille was born in Cadillac, Michigan on May 22, 1921 to Lester and Marion Stump. She married Lionel Everett on Nov. 30, 1940 and he preceded her in death in 1979 after almost 40 years of marriage. She was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Benton Harbor. Her employment included doing housekeeping at the House of David and the Travel Inn. She enjoyed going out and talking with her friends. A devoted and loving mother and grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, Lucille cherished time spent with her family.
Her family includes her daughters, Bonnie (Tom) King of Coloma and Betty Terlisner of Benton Harbor; her five grandchildren; her six great-grandchildren, and her two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Lucille was preceded in death by her three sisters.
JAMES ANDREW McKEOWN
James Andrew McKeown of Middleville, age 75, passed away June 30, 2017 at 1:00 a .m. surrounded by his loving wife and five children.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Andrew McKeown and Jerrie Ann (Bolhuis) McKeown.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years Colleen (Lynch) McKeown, five children and 10 grandchildren: son James (Linda) with granddaughter Meghan; daughter Patti Ann; son John (Jacque) with grandchildren Brandon, Brock, Alexis, Jack; son Jason with grandchildren Sam and Lilly; daughter Kristin (Koshar) with grandchildren Elaine, David and Lydia.
Jim grew up on a farm in Middleville, Michigan and earned his Bachelor of Science in Education at Western Michigan University continuing on to earn his Master’s degree from Central Michigan University. He spent 32 years doing the things he was passionate about, and excelled at: teaching, coaching and mentoring. Jim loved spending time with his family, traveling and telling stories. His laughter was contagious and he will be missed by many.
Visitation services were held at Beeler-Gore Funeral Home in Middleville on Sunday, July 2. A Funeral Mass was on Monday, July 3 at St. Cyril Methodius Catholic Church in Gun Lake (Wayland, Michigan) presided over by Fr. Chuck Fischer.
