Ronda Lyn Jones

 Ronda Lyn Jones, 62, of Watervliet, died Wednesday, September 21, at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville.  Her life began November 13, 1953, in Kalamazoo.  She grew up in Lawrence where she graduated high school.  After high school Ronda attended KVCC and Trinity College of Natural Health.  Ronda worked for many years as Post Master for Watervliet Post office during which she earned the United States Post Office – Regional Marketing Award. After retirement she opened Wishing You Well in Watervliet, where she practiced natural health as a Naturalpathic Doctor.   In her spare time Ronda enjoyed hand enamel jewelry making, needlework, and reading. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family which includes: her husband Ken Jones; three children Mark Rowe, Marcy (Robert) Mitchell, and Michael Rowe; a step-son Michael Jones; a grandson Eben Mitchell; three sisters Sheryl (Jeff) Moses, Judy Gambill, and Trish (Ken) Anderson; and many nieces and nephews.  Her father Ronald Case, mother Edna Martz, and a sister Lois Richardson precede Ronda in death.  A memorial service will be celebrated Sunday, October 2 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation prior starting at 1:00 p.m. at Hutchins Funeral Home in Watervliet.  Memorials may be made to a college fund for her grandson Eben Mitchell.  You are invited to share a memory with Ronda’s family at hutchinsfuneral.com.


Dr. Norman Nelson Krieger MD

 Dr. Norman Nelson Krieger, MD, longtime Milford resident, passed away on September 22, 2016 at the age of 89 with family by his side. He was born on May 12, 1927 in Bainbridge, Michigan, son of the late Nelson and Rose Krieger.  After serving honorably as Staff Sergeant on the Manhattan project during World War II, he graduated from Western Michigan University and went on to attend medical school at the University of Michigan. He later met his wife, Teresa Russell, at Cook County Hospital in Chicago during their medical residencies.  The couple, married for fifty seven years, moved to Milford in 1960 and purchased their first home on Union Street where he practiced Internal Medicine for nearly 40 years. He was deeply committed to each of his patients and to his family. Dr. Krieger practiced out of Pontiac General Hospital and was instrumental in the founding of Huron Valley Hospital and served as Chief of Staff. He also served on the Huron Valley School Board and as a team physician for Milford High School.  He enjoyed farming, fishing, and raised and showed Morgan horses for many years. Dr. Krieger was one of the founders of the original Milford High School Equestrian Team and helped build the original ring used for the competitions. He was a devoted Christian and family man and enjoyed spending as much time with his grandchildren as possible. He especially enjoyed watching University of Michigan football games with them.  Dr. Krieger is survived by his loving wife, Teresa; siblings, Adelaide and Joyce; his children, Norman, Teresa (Matthew), Kristen (Michael) and Karen; twelve grandchildren, Christian, Danielle, Leah, Amanda, Antonio, Joseph, William, Dominic, Maria, Vincenzo, Angelo and Alfonso. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Charles, Arlene and Joan and his infant son, Kirk.  Funeral Services were held at Cornerstone Evangelical Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 with burial and military honors at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly.  Memorials may be made in his name to West Highland Christian Academy or University of Michigan Medical School. For further information phone Lynch & Sons, Milford at 248-684-6645 or visit www.LynchFuneralDirectors.com.

Elizabeth M. Fulton

 Elizabeth M. Fulton, 95, formerly of Watervliet, passed away Saturday evening, September 24, 2016 at Pine Ridge Center in Stevensville.  Private family services have been held with burial taking place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Watervliet. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or to the Disabled American Veterans. She was a graduate of Coloma High School. She married Harold “Jack” Fulton in 1945. The couple resided in the Watervliet area and raised their family of eight children; two of which died in infancy. Elizabeth was a fantastic baker and cook. She enjoyed reading and loved to go dancing with Jack at the Crystal Palace. She enjoyed spending the summers at her Ludington home with her family. Elizabeth was also a former member of the Altar and Rosary Society at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Watervliet.  Elizabeth is survived by two daughters, Mary (Carl) Zeitler of St. Joseph and Marian (Pete) Maniscalco of Coloma; three sons, John (Brenda) Fulton of Florida, Michael (Carol) Fulton of Watervliet and James (Sue) Fulton of Coloma; her brother Frank Stoffle of Atlanta, GA; nine grandchildren, Steven, Brande, Megan, Eric, Joshua, Kristen, Matthew, Zachary and Rachel; and 4 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband Jack in 1996; daughters Elizabeth Mestre and Mary Rose Fulton; her son Gerard Fulton; two sisters, Helen Swanson and Freida Swanson; and her grandson Keith Fulton.
