Police Report Coloma Township Police activity While on patrol at approximately 11:40 p.m. on October 6, 2018, a Coloma Township Police Officer stopped a vehicle on N. Paw Paw Street near Center Street for an equipment violation. After conducting the investigation, the driver, a 39-year-old Coloma man, was issued a misdemeanor appearance citation for Driving While License Suspended. The vehicle was turned over to a licensed passenger. On October 3, 2018, at 11:25 p.m. a Coloma Township Police Officer responded to the 2900 block of Friday Road for a possibly intoxicated driver. While the officer was speaking with a witness the suspect started doing “donuts” and left southbound on Friday Road. The officer caught up to the vehicle on Friday Road near North Branch Road. After conducting an investigation, the driver, a 20-year-old Dowagiac man, was determined to be intoxicated and placed under arrest for Operating While Intoxicated first offense. He was lodged at the Berrien County Jail.
