BETTY “BJ” WOLFE
Betty “BJ” Wolfe, 93, of Watervliet died Saturday, October 14, 2017 at the Hanson Hospice Center in Lincoln Township.
Services celebrating her life will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 20, at the Davidson Chapel of Florin Funeral Service in Coloma. Burial will follow in Watervliet City Cemetery. BJ was born on March 28, 1924 in Rice Lake, WI. She was a long time and active member of the Coloma First Congregational Church. She also volunteered at the Watervliet Community Hospital and was a member of the Paw Paw Lake Yacht Club. In her younger years she enjoyed bowling, golfing and playing cards with her friends. She also enjoyed cooking, reading and was an avid sport fan. BJ was a generous and loving individual who had a beautiful and fun loving personality.
Her family includes her sons, Oliver (Judy) Wolfe of McAllen, TX and Robert Wolfe of Sister Lakes; her daughter, Barbara Foran of Watervliet; her 2 grandchildren and her 5 great-grandchildren.
NORMA JANE IRVIN
Norma Jane Irvin, 79, of Bainbridge Township died Saturday, October 14, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family.
Services celebrating her life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 21, at the Davidson Chapel of Florin Funeral Service in Coloma. Burial will follow in Coloma Cemetery. Norma was born on April 26, 1938 in Monette, AK to William and Gatha Kelley. She married her husband, Robert Irvin, in 1961 and he preceded her in death in 2006. Together they celebrated 45 years of marriage. She was a retired bank teller at the Coloma State Bank and was employed there for 42 years. Norma was a member of the Coloma United Methodist Church and had taught Sunday School. She enjoyed scrapbooking, reading, traveling, and gardening. Norma loved her family and loved to hold her grandchildren.
Her family includes, her daughters, Kelley (Roger) Akre, of Benton Harbor and Kathryn (Joseph) Effa of Stevensville; her son, Robert Irvin of Coloma; her grandchildren, Greg (Hannah) Akre, Jacquie (Casey) Timm, Zachary Effa, Garrett Effa, Samuel Effa, Jacob Irvin, Jason Irvin and Justin (Courtney) Miston, and her 4 great-grandchildren, Areli Akre, Ella Timm, Lily Timm and McKenna Miston. She was also preceded in death by her two brothers, William and Joseph and her two sisters, Geraldine and Laurine.

Maurice “Mose” Kietzer passed away Wednesday, Sep. 6, 2017, peacefully at home.
He and his wife Delores, together with their five children, ran Kietzer’s Fruit Market in Sister Lakes for over 25 years. They touched the heart of many people that came into the community as well as the local people that lived there all year. These stories are the ones we want to share with everyone and to remind you that we are celebrating his life and the heart of our family.
