JIMMEY BOLIN

Jim’s life began April 2, 1955 in Watervliet, Michigan. He grew up in Southwest Michigan calling Watervliet home for most of his life. He graduated from Watervliet High School and then went on to work for the City of Watervliet for over 20 years. Jim enjoyed being involved with his community here as he coached youth sports for many years including baseball, football, and basketball. He also liked to hunt, obedience train dogs, and golf. When he had some down time you could find Jim supporting all University of Michigan sports and the New York Yankees.

Jim leaves behind a loving family to cherish his memory including: his son Jimmey Bolin of Benton Harbor; five siblings AC Bolin, Marie Tessman, Peggy Stintson, Gene “Bo” Bolin, and Bud Bolin; and many nieces and nephews.

Jim died Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville. His loving wife Carolyn Bolin, parents Andy and Erlene Bolin, and a sister Juanita Prince precede Jim in death.

Jim’s life will be celebrated Friday, November 8, at 7:00 p.m. with visitation prior starting at 4:30 p.m. at Hutchins Funeral Home in Watervliet. Memorials may be made to the family. You are invited to share a message of comfort with Jim’s family at hutchinsfuneral.com.

MARY LOU ALTOM

Mary Lou Altom, 90, formerly of Coloma died Monday, Oct. 28, 2019 at the Royalton Manor in Royalton Township.

Services celebrating her life were held on Monday, Nov. 4, at the Davidson Chapel of Florin Funeral Services in Coloma. Burial followed in North Shore Memory Gardens. Please share memories, messages or photos at www.florin.net.

Mary was born on April 13, 1929 in Benton Harbor to Harold and Velma Baushke. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed sewing. She also enjoyed singing in the church choir and was also a very good cook. In her younger days Mary loved to spend time at the beach.

Her family includes her son, John Altom or Marcellus, MI and her nieces and nephews, Carl (Sheri) Baushke, Edward Baushke, Christopher (Heidi) Baushke, William (Pattie) Baushke, Susan (Mark) Brusveen, Donny (Stacey) Sage, Laurie Sage, Joseph (Pat) Sage, Samuel Sage, Doug Baushke, Kari Baushke and Tom Baushke.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Glenda, in 1987, her brothers, Thomas, James and Harold Jr. and a sister, Shelby Sage.
