Ruby was born in Mountain View, Arkansas on July 3, 1919 to Moses H. and Cora M. (Rigsby) Apple. She married Ray Albright on May 2, 1938 and he preceded her in death on Feb. 5, 1998 after 60 years of marriage. Ruby was a longtime member of the First Missionary Baptist Church, which was very convenient as she lived next to the church. She enjoyed spending time with her church family over the years. She also enjoyed knitting. But of all the things Ruby enjoyed, she cherished time spent with her family, her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren.
Her family includes her sons, Ernie (Sheila) Albright of Coloma, Chuck (Jan) Albright of St. Joseph, and Jim Albright of Holland; her daughters, Virginia (Clyde) Duncan of Virginia and Wanda (John) Hammond of South Haven; her nine grandchildren; and her nine great-grandchildren. She also included in her family, her special friends, Susan Joyner, Sue Mead and Bonnie.
