DOROTHY “DOTTIE” KAISER

 Dorothy “Dottie” Kaiser age 68, of Portage passed away on December 1, 2016 in the comfort of her home. Dottie was born on June 4, 1948 to George and Gladys (Van Scyoc) Wise. Visitation and a viewing of her life story film were on Tuesday, December 6 at the Life Story Funeral Home, Portage, Michigan.

Left to cherish her memory is her children, David Jr. (Nicole), Benjamin, Joanna (Kyle Smith), Doug (Maureen) Thompson, Nikki, Shelesha, and Jamie Thompson; 13 grandchildren; 2 brothers, Richard (Ethel) Wise, Ron Wise, and a sister, Mary Wein; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband David Sr., partner Ray Thompson, her parents, and sister, Peggy (Jim) Reagan.

 Nancy Gober, 77, of Coloma, died Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 29, 2016 at Lakeland Community Hospital in Watervliet.

BRYAN A. NAIL

 Bryan A. Nail, 29, of Riverside died Friday, November 25, 2016, in Grand Rapids.

Services celebrating his life where held on Monday, Dec. 5, 2016 at the First Apostolic Church (The Lighthouse) on Mountain Road, Coloma with Pastor Wade Blankenship officiating.  Memorial donations may be made to his family. Bryan was born on June 8, 1987 in St. Joseph.  He loved to dance and sing.  Bryan always had a smile on his face and was a jokester with everyone.  He was always funny and loved people.

His family includes his parents, Bobby (Analyn) Nail of South Bend and Keri Moore of Coloma; his grandparents, Gary and Deborah Hall of Hartford and Donna and Jim Hyepock of Niles; his great-grandmothers, Carolyn Oliver of South Haven and Linda Thumm of Watervliet; his sisters, Billi Moore of Kalamazoo and Nikki Bryant of Coloma; and his brother, Anthony Moore of Coloma.

CHARLENE ELAINE BRINKER

Charlene Elaine (Thomas) Brinker, 91, of Battle Creek, died December 5, 2016 at the Caretel Inns of St. Joseph.  Charlene was born November 15, 1925 in Hastings, MI to Sylvester and Margaret (Flynn) Thomas.  She married Edward Brinker on November 15, 1947 at St. Rose Catholic Church in Hastings.  She was a former member St. Philip and St. Rose Catholic churches.

Charlene graduated from Hastings High School in 1943.  She was a homemaker and spent her life raising their five children, David (Vicki) Brinker of Watervliet, Steven Brinker of Roswell, NM, Kevin (Tracy) Brinker of Wilmington, DE, Bruce Brinker of Wilmington, DE, and Connie (Ron) Branson of Elkton, MD; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.  She is also survived by her brother, Marvin Thomas of Scotts, MI and a sister-in-law, Ann Brinker Humphrey of Freeport, MI.

Charlene was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; her parents; and two sisters-in-law, Dixie Thomas and Elizabeth Wheat.

A graveside service to celebrate Charlene’s life will be held 1:00 p.m., Monday, December 12, 2016 at Fort Custer National Cemetery. Arrangements by the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Battle Creek 49017   Personal messages for the family may be placed at farleyestesdowdle.com.
