CAREN ADAMS

 Caren Adams, 47, of Benton Harbor died November 24, 2016, at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville. Caren was born on December 16, 1968 and resided in Michigan her entire life. She worked for many years as a switchboard operator for the Lakeland Health System.

Caren loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include her children, Cara (Nate) Valdes, Rico Adams, and Nicole Adams; along with her parents, Carlos and Linda Martines; a sister, Carlene Battista; and an aunt, Jenny (Kevin) Martines.

A service celebrating her life will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2016, at Midway Baptist Church in Watervliet.

GEORGIA MARIE HURLEY

 Georgia Marie (Gratzle) Hurley, 80, of Lawrence, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Bronson Commons, Mattawan.

Georgia was born January 28, 1936 in Watervliet, the daughter of Donald and Margaret (Wood) Hunt, both of whom precede her in passing. She was also preceded in death by two sisters: Dorothy Hanson and Sally Creveston and three brothers: Don, Jim and Jerry Hunt.

Georgia was a registered nurse, working at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas and at Lakeland Hospital, Watervliet.

Georgia is survived by seven children: Marian (John) Main of Lawrence; Laura (Greg) Crimm of San Antonio, Texas; Ann (Ren) Turner of Lawton; Charles Gratzle of Jonesboro, Arkansas; Dorothy (Andy) Robins of Kalamazoo; Cecelia (Dana) Webb of Raleigh, NC and John Gratzle of Laguna Hills, California. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; a brother, Merle (Pauline) Hunt of Paw Paw and two step-children: Jeff and Lowliatta.

As per Georgia’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial mass to celebrate her memory will commence at 11 a.m., Friday, December 16 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father German Perez-Diaz as celebrant.
