A spending problem, not a revenue problem

Michigan doesn’t have a revenue problem. It has a spending problem. After state fiscal and economic leaders met for the May Consensus Revenue Estimating Conference, the picture is clearer than ever: Gov. Whitmer and Lansing Democrats are addicted to spending your money, and now they want to dig into the state’s rainy day fund to feed the habit. Absolutely not. Out-of-control spending is a politician-created emergency, and Michigan families should not be forced to bail them out.
