Angela Joan (Neebling) Showerman “Angie” of Hartford, Michigan passed away surrounded by her family on June 2, 2026. She was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan where she grew up with her sister Carol. She graduated from Ann Arbor High School and later attended Cleary Business College where she met her husband Richard “Dick” Showerman. Angie had a love for reading and dedicated 22 years of service as library assistant at Woodside Elementary School.
Once settled into Hartford, Angie became a devoted member of Hartford United Methodist Church as well as an active member of the church choir where she loved to sing.
Angie was an avid believer in giving back to the community which was shown through her involvement with the Van Buren County Fair Association, Red Cross Foundation and Hartford Strawberry Festival as well as her involvement as Chairman for the Hartford Community Christmas Bazaar for a number of years.
Angie is survived by her sister, Carol (Andrew) Fleischmann of Gregory, MI; her children, Sindy (Pam) of Battle Creek, MI, Alan (Linda) of Quinton, VA, Todd (Kristy) of Burton, MI, Gay (Bob) Jonatzke of New Port Richey, FL; six grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
Angie was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Richard Showerman.
The family will be holding private services to honor Angie’s memory. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions or donations can be made to the American Stroke Association Foundation or Dementia Society Association.
