Charlotte Christine Phillips was born on July 22, 1933 in Athens, Ohio, the daughter of Dean and Olive (Price) Bowersock.
Charlotte passed away at the age of 89, on Tuesday July 26, 2022 at her home in Watervliet.
On Aug. 29, 1951, Charlotte was united in marriage with Darrell Phillips. She was formerly employed as a cook at Ohio University, worked at the Kroger stores in both Ohio and Brighton, Michigan. She drove truck on the family farm, loved to go fishing, but most important to her was all the times spent with the grandchildren.
Charlotte leaves behind to cherish her memory her three children, Rodney Phillips of Paw Paw, Randy (Sharon) Phillips of Lawrence, and Brenda (Howard) Parker of Decatur; seven grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; a brother, David Bowersock of Ohio; and numerous other family members and friends.
Preceding Charlotte in passing were her husband, Darrell; her parents; a son, Darrell Eugene Phillips on April 19, 2021; a grandson, Rusty Ray Phillips on Feb. 7, 2021; a great-grandson, Shane Phillips; a great-granddaughter, Zoe Phillips and her parents.
Cremation has taken place and in following Charlotte’s wishes there will be no services. The family will have a private gathering at a later date.
